Update for the morning of 4/10/08

How blessed we are that God listens to our prayers. I am so touched by all of the petitions to God on Addi's behalf. Addi had a rough evening, but a pretty good night. She started breathing on her own in the early evening so they removed her breathing tube at 9pm. She is progressing well. Her O2 saturation is between 77 and 82% but she is still on oxygen and morphine so it is hard to say what it will be when she is all healed from this surgery. She had pedialyte during the night and also a little milk twice.

Today so far she has made an attempt to wave at her Mommy and is showing some weak signs of wanting to play. She looks much better and they are taking out her arterial line and her central line right now. She has already moved from the most critical care area to a lesser critical area. They said she will be moved to a regular floor room either tonight or in the morning if she continues to progress at the same rate. Keep the prayers going, things are looking good, but the road to recovery is still long.
